Gramps,

Both sites have been revamped and they are EXCELLENT !  I have not had a single problem placing many orders with either.

The only problem I seem to have is . . . PLACING MANY ORDERS !!

Most folks know that I help Ed run his tables at the local gun shows and after reading the above post where it is rumored that he's taking over TCA I gave him a call yesterday to find out.

Ed said he doesn't know where the rumor got started but it's strictly that, just a rumor........that's straight from the horses mouth.

He has not been approached by the Wrights nor has he approached the Wrights about taking over the TCA.

Ken Mc
I was a member of the TCA Assoc. for many years and did not renew just this past year.
The quarterly magazine used to have full color glossy covers and is now a plain white, to save money.  Joe Wright expects members to buy TCA quarterly barrel offerings to help the club.  I just can't afford to buy 4 barrels at $225-250 per year.  I'd rather order one custom barrel, specified the way I want it.
I enjoyed the club for many years, and the members are encouraged to write articles, which i enjoyed, but i guess I just got tired of Joe's whining.
On the TC-L email list there was a discussion some time ago about the TCA web site being on AOL and that AOL is anti gun, I think people complained to Joe Wright about this so his reaction was to do away with the web site.  Joe is a high level executive (in real life) and my impression of him is that he expects things to be done his way, and he doesn't tolerate dissent very well.

a G2 rifle in 223. Can't say for sure when it will show through.
I had been a mamnber of TCA for about 5 years let it lapse when my intrest in the T/C wayned a bit. reuped last year when I got back into them.  Never put much stock in the Barrel offerings, if it was something that struck my fancy I would consider it IF my finances were able to swing it, if not say la ve. I pay my dues and go my own way. Did manage to write 2 articles for the magazine last year. I too miss the color covers but apprently the lower membership numbers could not sustain the cost. apprently the color will come back when we have enough menbers to pay the costs! last I read they were down to under 1000 members.
No web presence I know of. I just call the number in the magazine if I need something.
