I have one in .223, and I want to know if you can switch out the stock with a regular sized model 7 stock.  It was my son's first rifle, and he's grown up but we want to restock it to shoot varmints.  Thanks.

Yes it will fit into an adult size Model Seven stock just fine.

Is that an adult model 7, or a Rem 700 ADL or BDL stock?  Sorry, I am not that familiar with remington stuff.  Thanks again.

Why not add a spacer to the stock? Would likely be cheaper than buying a new stock.

mountainview, I am not sure how to do it, or where to get one, but it sounds like a great idea.  Where can I get info ?  Thanks

Grubbs,

Midway has them at the following link:

Another way would be to go to a decent gunsmith and ask him/her to install it. Don't quote me on this figure but I recollect it was going to run me around $40 or so to have one installed when I checked a year or two ago at Gander.

Safe shooting.
