fine rifles, especially the deluxe models.  Many people seem to be hooked on the concept of changing the barrels, but then again many people tell me that they have a hard time finding additional barrels - which kinda defeats the purpose of the 202.

Still,  it's a nice rifle, but pricey.

My wife settled any thoughts I may have ever had about a Sauer rifle when she seen me looking one over.  She came up and said "You're not thinking about getting one of those ugly things are you?" which ended the issue.  If the wife doesn’t approve, it doesn’t come in the house.  Lawdog

I would be so very happy with the 202 Outback model, which is not avaible here in the states.  The few I have handled were VERY nice, and well desgined.  The stock in very comfortable and the Ilfalon(sp?) finish is as durable as it can get.  IIRC this finish is used on cooking utensils.  I'd say go for it, if you find a good deal.  You only live once!

I've never heard of the Outback model.  Where did you see it?

Zachery,
The Outback model can be seen at http://www.sauer-waffen.de/index.php?id=72&lang=en I have not handled this model, rather the Lightweight with the fluted 20'' barrel.  The gun was chambered in .243.  I am interested in the Outback as it is like the Lightweight with Iron Sights.  Too damn bad I couldn't get one imported, if it was possible albeit clostly.

Just a warning for those SIG fans, the above link can be addictive!
