Model Number Confusion - 22 yr old 357
« on: January 18, 2005, 05:04:04 PM »
I've seen most of the current posts and everyone refers to model numbers with two digits then a dash.  However, mine is a SS 715-VH with 6" barrel.  Where does this one fit into the old/new, etc. sequence.  I bought this new in 1982 with every last dollar I could spare.  (newly married, yada yada yada)

I'd love to get other size barrels, shrouds, and maybe a different sight insert, but have been told no dice.  The box says DW in Monson, MA.  Serial number D005104.

Can someone tell me if this is the old style from previous to the BATF records confiscation and where I may obtain parts I listed above?

Your 715 should be basically the same as the new ones.  You may contact the factory by email to order parts and barrels.

Thanks RollTide for the optimistically good news.  I'll contact them right away.  My interpretation of their website made me uncertain and I hadn't thought about it since then.  Your information is appreciated.  I'll let you know how successful I am.
