Seems as if the cold and Whitedogone's pics have some of us refinishin some handi stocks. I found if i cut the head off a 3/8 NF bolt about 4" long and threaded it into my reciever I was much more likely to get the correct wood to metal fit in the wrist area. Also a piece of all-thread run thru the stock will give you kind of a handle when you start the staining and finishing. Good luck with your midwinter projects.      redhead     :D
