Remington 760 in 35 Rem

Hi Everyone,
Got a older 760 in 35 Rem today.
Is there anyone besides Gander Mountain that rechamber them.
I got the gun cheap for a 35 Rem.
So I was thinking of 358 Win or 35 Whelen.
Is the rifle twist in 35 Rem ok for the 35 Whelen?
Was thinking mostly for bears and elk with 220 or 250 bullets.
Anyone ever have Gander Mountain do a ream job?
Did they do good work?

Remington uses a 1-in-16" twist for both the .35 Remington and the .35 Whelen.  Winchester specifies a 1-in-12" twist for the .358 Winchester.

I have a late model 760 (35Rem) that I had reamed out to .358Win by a local gunsmith.  Shoots very well with 200, 220, 225, and 250 grain bullets and IMR4895.
