Anybody seen these picures yet? This is one of four where a mule kills a mountian lion. Happened in Az. , the lion attacked, so the mule threw the rider and procided to kill the lion- Wow.

now i hate to be a skeptic, but that seems awful suspect. who is going to get throw off a mule, watch the mule fight with the lion, and stand by and take pictures? not saying it aint true; if it is, that is one mule i wouldnt want to tangle with.

Heres the story with another picture:

"These pics came from AZ. Yes the mule, killed the mountain lion. The
lion had been stalking them for the better part of the morning, on the
way
out to a hunt. They were pretty sure it was after a dog. The cat
apparently ambushed them, and the mule pictured tossed its rider and
went
into attack (defense) mode, the horses scattered and shots were fired
but
no one was sure if they hit the cat or not. Unfortunately the battle was
decently long, and it wasn't until it was almost over that one of the
guys started snapping pictures.

Great pictures Tad

I have seen them protect cattle like that, The ranchers around here, put them (the mules that is) in the pastures with their cattle and the mules will kill any dogs, or coyotes, that come around. I witnessed a kill a mule did on a dog that was crossing through a pasture that a mule killed a dog just like the picture of that one you posted of the mountain lion kill. Kinda felt sorry for the dog, it didnt stand a chance, once that mule got ahold of it :-D :-D , it headed out for another dog, that was crossing, but the other dog out run it.
