I'm looking at buying a Model 44 in .44 Mag. BUT it is factory reconditioned like new.

My question is does it still come with the Lifetime Warranty? They guy says it does but he is trying to sell it  so what do you all think?

I will call Taurus to get the total skinny on this but wanted to know what you guys think about buying a reconditioned pistol.

Thanks Warf

Yes, the warranty is an UNLIMITED Lifetime Warranty for the lifetime of the gun, so the warranty will still be good.
Personally I stay away from anything that has been reconditioned/refurbished, firearm or otherwise. That doesn't mean the product is bad if it has been refurbished/reconditioned( just means it was once bad). Having said that, if you have gone over the gun and it is right I see no problem with picking it up assuming you have no problem with it being reconditioned.
BTW do you know what the problem with it was?

No sir I don't.

It’s a gun auction item. I can’t even handle the gun. It's about $75 less than NIB. BUT it’s in Bright Stainless which is what I want. I really don’t care for the mat stainless. That is the only reason I'm even considering it.

It's in a 6" barrel would rather have 4" but I would be ok with the 6".
I just want the bright stainless don’t know why Taurus went away from it?
