A friend had one in a Winchester 70 that was a good shooter and I was looking at a Browning A bolt that handled well. One would be my pick if I was in the market.

Consider taking a look at the Savages with the Accutrigger.

jathames,

I bought a Savage M10, their package series(GXP3) in .270 WSM.  http://www.savagearms.com/10gxp3.htm A better bargain you will be hard pressed to find.  Comes with the new AccuTrigger, scope/mounts, swivel studs, QD swivels and leather sling.  Selling all over for around $400.00, one just has to shop around.  Accuracy started out around 3/4” @ 100 yards and only got better with load work.  The scope isn’t the most expensive(low cost Bushnell or Simmons) but it will suffice until you find one that suits you better.  Lawdog

Life's too short to hunt with an ugly rifle
