I tried them in my .30-06 when they first came out.  I thought what a great idea, carry a few of these while deer hunting in case some varmint came along.  Only problem was accuracy wasn’t up to what I wanted for varmint use.  2 or more inches @ 100 yards isn’t my idea of varmint accuracy.  Things may have changed since then, I don’t know.  I didn’t know Remington had reintroduced them???  Lawdog

I bought a bunch of sabots off ebay and loaded my own 22 cal bullets in my 308.
I have had trouble with the 22 cal bullets slipping out and getting jammed in the action. the accuracy I as getting was not bat about 1 1/2 inch at 100 yards

I got them not because I wanted to turn my 308 rifle into a varmint rifle. I sold off my 22 hornet contender barrel and had several hundred 22 cal bullets just sitting on my shelf. they are fun to play with.

I think they are at there best used as a training ad, they do not recoil much and the noise is lot lower then full power 308

I bought a box of them to shoot out of my 30-06.  I did not like them because I could not get any kind of consistant groups.
