Cost of FA M83
« on: January 02, 2005, 05:52:01 PM »
Im looking to get a 475 7.5" M83
My question is are the MSRP prices that FA gives the price that you pay?
Where is the best place to buy a second hand FA?
Thanks

Freedom Arms stuff is priced higher than a hunchbacks A$$. Beautiful workmanship but at high prices. My distributor never has them in stock. I've been looking for one too.

The procedure is to put in yer order, give'm yer money, and then wait several months.

On the FA website they list a bunch of 'stocking dealers' although some are no longer around and some don't have any on hand. But I did get some email replies when I was looking around.

I spoke with Bob Baker on this subject this afternoon. He said they sell only to and thru licensed FFL dealers. What each dealer charges is strictly up to the dealer. He said if you get 5% to 10% off MSRP that's a pretty good discount from most dealers. More will likely be cuz you and him are good buddies.

As to how long it takes I guess I dunno. Kinda depends I suppose. Don't think it took more than 2-3 weeks on mine if I recall correctly but don't hold me to it. And it was over the holidays so that delayed it a bit. Dunno if it being a writer review sample got it here faster or not.
