Well, i guess i should start back when i was about 14, in the Scouts, on the Appalachian Trail, somewhere between Ft Washington, Penn, and Harpers Ferry WV. I think we were somewhere on the backside of the Army post, Ft Ritchie.
We had bedded down for the night, and shortly thereafter, a god awful scream and brush thrashing was heard about 200 yrds away, up on the ridgeline. At the time, none of us had heard about Bigfoot, but after that, i grabbed any book on the topic i could find at the time.
Been bigfootin ever since

I've (not meaning to sound arrogant or bang my own drum) had many "fleeting glimpses", vocals, tracks, and a small handful of actual sightings. I belong to a prominent research group (all volunteer), and hold down a full time job. But Bigfootin holds much of my spare time (yeah, like i have much of THAT !!

)
I've done most of my work in and around Maryland. I've been on some major expeditions, week long and weekend, with the sole purpose of collecting evidence, and sharing info with other researchers. I have been privileged to be on a couple cases where there was ongoing incidents, food exchanges, some awesome recordings (in the hands of people who can do the best with them), some wonderful times !!!
My best sighting though, would be the Big Male, i named "Thor". I spotted him on evening when i went to a sighting location, just to see the lay of the land. I was in the area during the day, and thought i'd swing by (not far out of my way). I noticed him halfway up the slope, looking sideways at me. He was frozen in position, not moving a muscle. He was HUGE !!! Long head hair, extremely muscular, robust chest, round shoulders (looked like someone shoved basketballs on his shoulders), tan in color. I wouldn't have noticed him, except for the color difference of him and the autumn woods. It was like a bright neon sign on that hillside.
[edit] : I thought he was a beautiful animal, in the prime of his life, a sure sign of a healthy environment !! :grin: [/edit]
Further study of this area revealed that it is used by what could be a clan of suspected sasquatch. Thor, the dom male, two breeding females, two offspring, not full grown, and one older animal who seems to hang out on the fringe of the active areas. One of the suspected females has a foot shape much like a bears hind foot, but much bigger (approx 18") with small pea-pod toes. Her offspring has an almost identical foot. The offspring of the other suspected female has an almost identical foot shape as its parent also. There "may" be smaller offspring, not yet walking. This theory is based on witness sightings, tracks and knowledge of other suspected sasquatch clans.
I am here, i guess, to share some knowledge, learn some things, and maybe some people will get to know me, and be comfortable sharing their own experiences with these magnificent animals !!
