Has anyone had any experience with Old Western Scrounger 45-70 ammo
in an original Trapdoor Springfield?

Thanks.

Hi Varsity, I haven't had call to use their ammo.  The main reason being that it is two to three times as expensive as other more readily available ammo.  You can buy a set of reloading dies for the price of one 20rd box of their ammo.  If you don't already reload, get into it.  You will be able to fine tune your loads, and it will be much cheaper!! :money:

Depending on caliber and loading for the cost of 1 box of their ammo you might be able to fund your entire reloading setup. I shoot 45-110 and a box from OWS costs right at 100.00 if it was 45-120 you are over 100.

Hey guys I am new here by the way I am happy to have found this forum as well. :D
