The only thing wrong with the Ruger 10/22M, like ALL Ruger rifles, is the
"lawyer trigger" that they have. Once that is replaced, and it's not that hard, they are very accurate and dependable. My son uses a Ruger 10/22M(he is left handed due to an incident when he was 7) as he canÂ’t find a left handed bolt action .22 WMR that doesnÂ’t cost a lease on his life. DonÂ’t listen to those that complain about Ruger as most donÂ’t have any experience with them or are repeating a rumor they were told. I agree with you about the magazines that stick down. On top of sticking you in the back when you try to carry them on a sling they catch on every twig when going thru the brush. Get a Ruger 10/22M and install a decent trigger and youÂ’ll no regret it.
