10 gauge VERY shells
« on: December 15, 2004, 03:15:15 AM »
I have several boxes of primed but never loaded 10 gauge Very Pistol shells. They are so marked on the original box . Is there any market for them ?? I was using them for blank loads for a signal cannon .

Is that the round that was/is used by the Navy
in their line throwing guns? I just thought they were 12 Ga.

I believe a very pistol is a flair gun.  Line guns (in more modern times at least) were generally modified 12ga shotguns.
