Bulletmaker/guys;  You have to get that smell of pork out there!!!!!!!  Thats what does it everytime for me that smell of bacon turns them on and brings them in close.  Its funny no smell of pork no visits??? Well most of the time anyway.  I can't wait to try an open fire with a ham hock over it???  If the wind direction is right it sure should get someone's attention.  Now i just need to figure out a way to have a slow grease drip into the fire just enough to scent the smoke enough so it lasts all night and just enough to attract them.   :D                                             BigBill

Big Bill, if you are a mind to get the smell of pork out there, use a steel tri-pod, and hang a roast off it, just high enough to let the grease drip out slowly. the height just depends on how big the fire is under it. I use to cook alot of pork on this tri-pod. if ya get a late night visitor well it worked, if not call it dinner!
Just a thought, Halfbreed

Your right thats one way but i'm having the misses save me all the bacon grease in coffee cans and I may make a can with a shut off valve and i'm thinking of using a tri-pod with a cable so i can raise and lower the can to the fire so i can adjust the burn rate so it will last all night.  But i like your idea too because we get to eat too!!!!    It sure loves the smell of bacon/pork.                       BigBill

BigBill and Graybeard - Oklahoma would be one heck of a road trip, wouldn't it but, it sounds like a lot of fun.  I would want to drive so I could cart enough hardware with me to save my butt if it came to it.  And then after the Bigfoot chase, we could go Okienoodlin'.

Bulletmaker - ya'll know any foks who Okienoodle.  I saw a documentary about that recently, and will watch it again.  Sounds sort of like Montana's Duckboy Catch and Release Program (lololol).  Mikey.

Hi Mikey :D
Yeah I know alot of them noodlers, boy are they a strange bunch  they catch alot of fish, but there ain`t no way, I`m going to stick my arm down in a deep hole feeling around for a 40 lb catfish. All of the one`s I know are the type that would give you the shirt off their backs, they are a bunch of nice guys, but the way they have fun, is my way of what nightmares are made of  :-D  :-D . They all have scares all along their arms to prove their story`s, but I`ll just stick to Bigfoot hunting, its safer :-D  :-D
If you do come down, I`ll try to hook you up with them, most do their serious noodling in the spring and summer. I`ll video the hunt from a safe bank, all dry and safe :D  :)

I like to make bullets, handload, shooting of all types, hunting, fishing, taking pictures, reading, grandchildren, 4 wheeling, eating out often.
