One Thursday a week or so ago I was pretty frustrated and wound up so(due to my wife's understanding and willingness to be flexible...God bless her!) I was able to head out with my .22LR to a friend's farm and go looking for "
underground mutton", as a friend likes to call them.
The first 2 bunnies I shot at were easy shots and really I deserve a big smack for missing them, especially since I was resting on a fence post!
But number 3 was off-hand, had to be quick and joy of joys, I popped him!
I'm sure you guys all understand that feeling as you squeeze the trigger, hear the crack as if it's in the distance and see the little sucker kick and flip over. It sure is a great sight. Here's a pic of my little
"trophy" with my Tasco 6x40-equiped Anschutz 1400.

I suppose this bunny was kinda important because the drought here in Australia has seen the rabbit population take a dive and it's been 8 months since I've shot a rabbit on that property or any others nearby. I think you can all imagine how frustrating
THAT was! :?
