Iam looking at getting a 243 winchester barrel and a 12 gauge slug barrel. How do they shoot? Any info will be appreciated!

I've got a 26" .243 heavy barrel on my Encore right now that was made by the T/C Custom Shop and it's a real shooter. Consistent 1/2" groups with 80 grain Nosler b/t's. Can't help you with the 12 gauge. Mike

Just got back from deer lease shooting my new .243 barrel.  Sight in was 100 yards and got 1/2" groups using factory ammo.  Have not gotten around to reloading, only had the barrel a week.  Got a big doe this evening with it, about 75 yard shot, quartering away.  Dropped like a rock......

I too was wondering about the recoil and accuracy associated with the Encore and a 12ga. slug barrel. I have a TCR-87 with a rifled slug barrel and it is light and kicks worse than a mule! But with a Past shoulder pad at the bench and pure adrenaline in the woods it is no problem to shoot. Accuracy is unbelievable with this barrel!!
I'm going all Encore eventually, if I can get an Encore slug barrel and a 50 cal. muzzle loader barrel to shoot as good as the rifles I currently shoot.

Good luck with your choices,
Stan
