heavy loads for raging bull 44 mag
« on: November 29, 2004, 10:29:31 AM »
I have a raging bull in 44 mag and was looking for some heavy loads for hunting large game(black bear & elk). Was wondering if anyone has shot any ammo from garrett or buffalo bore, and if so how did they perform? What would be the maximum load I would want to shoot out of this gun?
Also anyone who has tried any ammo from HSM.

I've shot the full range of both COR-BON and Buffalo Bore ammo in .454 thru an RB. They both make excellent ammo. I've shot the Garrett 310 stuff thru several guns but not an RB. It is an excellent choice for your purpose. So will be the 300 grain and heavier loads from Buffalo Bore and COR-BON. Personally I like JHPs on deer but when I go to larger or heavier game I want a hard cast. That's what I'd suggest you get and 300 or heavier.
