Big Bullet vs. Doe

My first deer of the season fell yesterday evening to a patched, putty soft lead bullet.  My partner and I were sitting in a blind the last day of "doe days" when three does came out.   423 grains of lead trumps 120 pounds of hide and muscle any day of the week.

I suppose you didn't recover the bullet did you?

Just curious how much it expanded.
