Best solvent for copper removal?

I've had it with my old standby Hoppes #9. Seems to take forever to run a clean patch using it. What is the most effective brand of solvent for cleaning out copper deposits?

Hoppe's makes a pretty good copper remover but it's not the old tried and true #9 which is really a powder fouling remover not a copper remover. Sweet's is another good one. But the best of them in my experience is Barnes CR10. I've not yet used a more aggressive or effective chemical remover.

I like Sweet's 7.62, but that's only because it works fine and I don't see a need to change.

I like Sweet's for removing copper. However, I use Butch's Bore Shine for my regular cleaning, but if I buy a used gun that's heavily copper fouled, I grab the Sweet's.

I agree with GB, CR-10 is great stuff. Just don't leave it in the barrel too long and don't use it on chrome lined barrels.   KN

Wipeout! This stuff is great! It's a foam that you squirt in the barrel and let sit for an hour (or overnight on tough ones) and then just patch it out. I've taken copper out of barrels that I thought were clean after using Sweets. Mike

Barnes CR-10 says it all.  It gets the copper out of my rifles even better than Butch's Bore Shine.  I find it simply one of the best out there if not "the" best.
BTW, it is always good to run a lightly oiled patch through the barrel after cleaning; it definitley safeguards against any rusting that could occur to the clean steel inside.  :D   Patriot

P.S.  Just a little quip I though of:
If Barnes makes some of the best pure copper hunting bullets, they would have to make a cleaner just as good!

I was running patches as white as snow in short order using Barnes CR-10. I'd probably still be getting some color with the Hoppe's CR. My choice was simplified as the gun shop was out of Sweet's.

Barnes CR-10 is the best I've found.  If it's really nasty, you might have to loosen it up first with JB Bore Paste.

I did on a .25-06 that is a chronic fouler.  No problems any more!
