Question about Encore service?
« on: November 20, 2004, 07:27:29 PM »
When my new Encore finally came into the gun shop (my first one!), it has 2 small scratch marks (nicks) in the metal on one side of the frame.  If I hadn't waited so long for the rifle, I'd have said get me another...........but, I took it anyways.  It's nothing that will affect how it shoots - just a aesthetics thing.  This is my first T/C, I've never dealt with their service people - would I be outta line asking them to fix it (seeing how I accepted it the way it was)?  I'm afraid I'd screw it up more trying to do anything myself.

Give them a call and see what they say. Me personally, I don't like my guns marked, but when I hunt, I some how putting a ding in the stock or a small scratch some where on the barrel or action.  :D

"Character" is what makes guns great.  By that "character" should be yours, not the factory.  I agree, call em and see what they can do fer ya.

Well........., I called T/C and sent the frame back along with a little note and got it back within 3 weeks all fixed and looking good as new (or better than new in my case!).  Great service for me, especially during hunting season and this close to the holidays!
