Rem 7400 Carbine with Remington 220 grain 06 loads scores

Well, I can say that the Remington 7400 Carbine coupled with Remington 220 grain Corelokt .30-06 ammo delivered on a deer this year. After using the rifle for its first hunting season, I can state that it carries, handles and points well in the close woodland cover I hunt. This is with a Burris 2 3/4 power scope on it in Weaver mounts and rings. The deer was running full tilt on a deerpath at the end of a swamp, about 30 feet away. Broadside shot, mid leap, with bullet entry through left upper chest into the lungs just behind the shoulder. Exited through the right shoulder. Deer dropped on right side at the shot and never got up, expiring in about 2 minutes. About 140 lb. doe, was lactating!
