I believe that they are up in north central Pennsylvania. I never been there but know several guys that have. they say it's quite an experience. They are a sporting goods store that has one of everything, including guns.

I bought a rifle from Grices last fall and they were great to deal with. I also like the fact that they got odd chamberings, especially in the Remington 7600's. I got the 35 Rem carbine in 7600 last fall and absolutely love the rifle. I like it so much that I may buy another one. I just found out yesterday that I am going to be a dad, so I figured my son might like one of his own. Maybe I'm jumpin' the gun, but what the hell!!!

First, congrats 257 Robt. Second, Grice is an excellent company to work with. My son ordered my limited edition 7-08 from them and had it shipped to a local dealer. I (my wife) paid for the transfer and my son paid for the rifle and shipping. Find a local dealer that will accept delivery and do the paper work.

257, Congrats. Having kids is a great excuse for buying more guns!

Grices is an evil gun store that does special runs of several Remington guns including 7600's. Because of these special runs my children will have to attend State school because I am spends their college money on guns! MIKE.

257Robt,

Well, first of all congrats on the child...  My daughter is 2-1/2 and my son is 11 months.  You'll never appreciate sleep as much as you will in the future.

I found a 35 Whelen at a larger local establishment and thought about getting it.  Are they that good?  It's a new 7600 and seems to have very good wood.  I really want the 35 Rem. but can't seem to find one.

One last thing...the wife will allow you to get one gun for the child (just claim that you were so excited that you couldn't resist).  The second will get you dirty looks and the third...well you won't have to worry about having any more kids.

Josh
My wife once made the mistake of telling me "all of your guns look alike"...No, I've had this gun for a long time! LOL

Thanks oliverstacy! You have got to see what a 35 Whelen can do. It is unbelievable. The cartridge is awesome. I have had 6 7600's in 35 Whelen at one time or another, but am left as of now with the original I bought. I will say it and I think that others will agree; you won't be disappointed with the 35 Whelen.
