Howdy Everyone,
Have not had a Double action for years.
Leverfan needed some cash so I got his 44 mag.
He also has some goodies to go.
He tried  the lows spring of a three spring set in it.
Would not set cci primers off.
Anyway is this normal for a redhawk?
Have no idea what kind of springs he got have not got them yet.
Gun looks great, shot one time when he was out at the house.
He has a S&W 357 up for sale also. But I have always been mostly a Ruger guy.

Hey there WL, the Redhawk is the last 44 mag you'll ever need, it will easily outlive you and your kids.  I had one in 41 mag and put some loads thru it that would make a cannon shiver, it never even burped.  With the extra-long cylinder I found I could load my handloads longer than normal, so I got some 295-grain cast bullets and seated them as long as the gun would allow.  I don't know what kind of velocities I was getting, but the loads were pretty impressive!  Once you resolve your spring issue you'll be set for many years.  BTW, don't neglect the fun of shooting specials out of that gun, as heavy as it is they feel like 22's!   :-)

If you can shoot home invaders, why can't you shoot Homeland Invaders?

Wilbe Lead-

The springs are the 3 spring Brownells Pro-Spring Kit made by Wolff.  They are 12, 13, and 14 lbs.  The factory mainspring is in it right now, but you might want to try the 14 lb. Wolff.  It was 100% reliable with the factory spring, ask Mel.  She shot up a lot of ammo at Lone Oak with that gun.  We just got used to the factory spring and trigger pull with lots of dry fire.  I've got snap caps for it, but you can't have those. :)

I haven't found that speed loader yet, lord knows where it ended up after we moved.  If it turns up by tomorrow, we'll bring it along to the gun show.

See you tomorrow afternoon.  If you get there first, scout out the gun belts for us, please! :D   We'll bring your's along, I don't think they're going to work.  Joe will be big enough for that drop loop buscadero pretty soon, anyway.
