sxs coach gun
« on: November 11, 2004, 07:31:59 AM »
Hello All,

I am new here to this forum since I am not involved in CAS but I thought you all could help out possibly.

I like the idea of a sxs shotgun for a home defense gun.  The "coach gun" fits the bill very well.  I also like the idea of a sxs for a hunting shotgun for ducks, dove, etc.

Is there any way to combine the two functions?  Can you get a sxs with 28" barrels and have 20" barrels fitted as well?  Does anyone do this that you are aware of?  I guess I am asking for interchangeable barrels.

I'm to cheap to buy two guns...or is it to poor?

Any thoughts/ comments would be appreciated.

Howdy pard,

Welcome, you'll get into CAS soon enough. ;)
I think you will find that an extra set of barrels will be cost prohibitive.  You can just about buy another shotgun for the cost of the barrels.  Also, I'd suggest that you try out a 26 or 28 inch barrel shotgun.  I have found the 20 inchers are handy, but not significantly different than a 26 inch gun.

Adios,

Thanks for the replies guys!

I was afraid the answer would be no on the extra barrels...

CR, I will look inot the website...I have been wanting to go to an event and I think it would be something all my family would enjoy.  My wife and older daughter I know would like it, and I'll have to work on my younger daughter...

Matt,
Because of Thanksgiving, the Texas Regulators are shooting on the third weekend this month; that's this coming weekend! Come on out and check us out. I think you'll have a good time.

If you do make it, be sure to look for Cheyenne Ranger or me. We're both usually out there wandering around somewhere....

Thanks for the invite guys!

I will be out of town for the whole Thanksgiving week, including the weekend before.  So, I won't be able to make it.  I would like to visit though so I will try to check it out in Dec.  I have bookmarked the web-page and will check for dates and times.  Once again, thanks for the invite.
