......while I make it a rule to avoid the place , as far as buying guns goes, I did get one there today....havent done it before but the price was right, so right I couldnt beat it if it were a "used" rifle at a flea market...
got a Savage 110 Syn stocked rifle in 270 Win with  a Simmons 3-9X scope for 200 bucks plus tax.
Was discounted down from 369 to 349 to 250 , finally stopping at 200....
Not one of the 2004 rifles with the Accu-Trigger.....that just means my GS will have to tweak it for me.

You got a better buy than I did, I paid $250 for the same rifle.  Shoots less than an inch at 100 yards with remington and winchester 150 and 130gn ammo.  Watch out though, there are people on the forums that absolutely despise savage rifles.  Heck the way mine shoots, I'm thinking of buying a few more!  Great price and a good rifle.......

Be careful VC, you are treading the same ground I did. I tried one, somewhat reluctantly but went ahead with the purchase as the price was within my budget, wound up liking it so much that now I have 3 and am looking to get #4 before the end of the year. The accutrigger is super sweet but the regular trigger is not all that bad once you get used to it.

I'm half way there. My Wife is from Georgia. I spent most of 1999 in the states and loved it. I did go to Walmart and see how cheap you get your stuff for. Only problem is, even when i was there with all those cheap guns, i could not find anything to shoot. You don't seem to have a big Rabbit or Fox problem in Georgia and i could not bring myself to shoot a Raccoon or a Squirrell.  :(

actually, you can do it youself. non accu models are just as easily adjustable, just can't go as light.

with just a few clicks on screw #5, my 10FP went from 4 12/2lb, to 3lb.

I'm getting a Remington 11-87 Premier 20 ga. from Wal-Mart. Its $100 cheaper at Wal-Mart ($599) then Bass Pro and Gander Mountain ($699). I have a wife, three kids, a mortgage and a lot of other bills so $100 makes a big difference. Both Bass Pro and Gander Mountain will do price matches. I don't like the fact that if I do my homework and research the prices at other stores they'll give me a good deal. If I don't their going to screw me!

I just looked at a youth synthetic with the ACCu Trigger and was totally amazed.  I want .223 and the twist is 1X9 just what I wanted and I really like the thumb 3 position safety.  Ime going to get one over my beloved 700 Remingtons.  Stop and think about the Savage name..... Savage/Anschutz.   Sounds good to me.  .....
