Range report...T3 6.5-55
« on: November 05, 2004, 09:37:31 AM »
Had some 140 gr Nosler Partitions done up and they are ready for the season.  This gun is as sweet as they come.....75 yards,  4 shots done with a boat cushion and a few towels on the top of my Suburban hood.  Lots of gravel pits in N. Minnesota.  Perfect clover leaf and probably under 1/2 inch.  This gun has jumped to the top of my fun to hunt with list.  The 140 Nosler Partitions have 45.6 grn of RL 22 and OAL reset just off the lans.  Long throated but the long bullet still works fine.  This gun is a gas although the reloads bark a little more than the custom Hornady.  Very pleased with this gun and I still am a ways away from shooting good enough to use all it's accuracy.   Buckfever

Buckfever,

Did you get similar accuracy results with the Factory Hornady Light Magnums?

Zachary and Honady Ammo

Hornady ammo was the straight custom 140 gr. not the light magnums.  They shot just almost as good as the handloads with the Nosler partitions.   This T3 is just a fine weapon.  I don't know this but I would bet it would shoot most any ammo pretty decent.   Buckfever
