G-2 Contender Forearm on old style 21" carbine barrel?
« on: November 02, 2004, 11:58:20 AM »
I'm thinking of buying a used 21" carbine 223 barrel that came off of an old style Contender. I currently have a new G-2 and I was wondering if the forearm for the G-2 will fit this 16" barrel?

Thanks a bunch :D

The forearms are the same as the barrels are the same. The g2 and the original take all the same barrels.............the foreends don't touch the frames.

I put my 21" 7-30 barrel on my G2 . the new barrels are bull barrels, but I don't think that there is enough difference to cause a problem at all. I did also try a fore arm that was made for a 21" older barrel on my 23" G2 barrel and it definently will not fit.  dave
