I do not have the 26 inch heavy BBL in 25-06, but I have it in 22-250 and 300 Win Mag. I get sub MOA groups with both off the bench. I am very impressed with the accuracy of the 26 inch BBL's. :D

25-06

Hello, I own an Encore in 25-06 with a 26" barrel and have been working on load development the past few weeks. To be totally honest I believe that the Encore is truly capable of 1/2 minute angle accuracy, I've shot several 1/2 MOA 3 shot groups with this gun already. I'm fine tuning a couple of loads and playing with seating depth, primers ect. I'm getting very close to the right load with 117gr. Sierra Game Kings and H4831. Finding a factory load that shoots small groups can sometimes be a challenge ( and expensive) and sometimes you just plain luck out and find one right off the bat. I'm not saying you have to handload for the 25-06, you certainly don't, but IMHO the odds of finding several good hunting loads that will shoot 1/2MOA or even MOA increase greating once you have the ability to control the different varibles and experiment with different combinations. I'm becoming quite found of my 25-06, the more I work with it the more I like it.  Just my 2 cents of course.  Good Luck and Good Shooting!

MOA was easy to get to with 75 grain V-Maxs pushed by 49.5 grains of IMR4064, win brass and WLR primers. I honestly haven't tried to push it down any further.
I stopped at 49.5 when it went into MOA. I've read 52 is max for 4064 with this bullet. I haven't even tried to work up any more because I was happy with the results so far.

Great round. I haven't even shot the Encore 220 Swift since seeing what the 25-06 does to varmints.
