United Beagle Gun Dog Federation National Championship
« on: October 29, 2004, 02:29:26 PM »
The U.B.G.F will hold it's 28th annual National Run off the weekend of Friday November 5th and crown one hound from each of 4 classes national champion.  The running grounds are located  roughly 20 miles north of Bowling Green Kentuck near the town of Jetson, Kentucky.  Closing and drawing is at 7 am.

The U.B.G.F consist of 45+ member clubs from as far south as Georgia and north to Michigan, west to Oklahoma city.   These are some of the best of the best, and anyone interested in Beagling and rabbit hunting will certainly have a great time.

In order for a hound to compete, the hound must have placed in a U.B.G. F trial.  Classes for the hounds are 13"dog, 13"bitch, 15"dog, and 15" bitch.  In a typical year, the classes run 60 to 80 hounds with roughly 40 or more AKC Field Champions in the class.

This should not be confused with the AKC national championship, which is open to all qualified AKC registered hounds.

The A.H.R.A as well as the UKC also host the same type event to crown there best.
