I just took a Rossi 2" blue steel revolver on trade. On the right side it says made by Taurus. It also has the new O/B hammer locking device like the other Taurus revolvers. It also has the hammer nose firing pin, like S&W's. What can I expect, quality wise, from this piece? It appears to be relatively well made and finished. Is it at least on a par with other Taurus revolvers? Any one had any experience with these. Any info would be appreciated. :D

Taurus bought Rossi, but I think the Rossi is still made in the Rossi factory. I have the same gun you have--Rossi model 351. It is my carry gun and has been for 3 years. The fit and finish may not be quite what Taurus is. But like I say I carry this gun with barami grips and the finish is still just like it came from the factory. These are good little revolvers and mine works everytime I pull the trigger. I put several hundred rounds thru it when first purchased and since then I put a box a month thru it. Never a missfire or any problems. ( And it cost me $230 from a mom&pop gunshop. That's nice too.
