Does anyone know of any company making a wide(say 2 1/2") composite forend for the Encore? I'd love to have a target/varmint style forend for the Encore in a black synthetic. As far as I've seen, the only options are from custom manufacturers in fiberglass and kevlar, and they cost a fortune.

I couldn't agree more. You would think that with all of the available barrels and so forth, there would be a greater selection of forends.

I am thinking about making a mold and attempting to cast a synthetic forend of my own design. I've made a couple of wood and laminate forends so far. Right now I'm in the process of researching materials for synthetic casting. Probably not going to be very cost efficient though.
