If you already own it, it is fine.  If not you could do better.

For an "all around" big bore Unlimited pistol, I'd recommend the 6.5 BR.  The reason is that it offers the bullets with the highest BC.  Thus, you will reduce wind drift as much as possible.

It really depends on your goals.  If all you are interested in is shooting locally and having fun in the process and you use your TC for other things such as hunting I would stick with that, spending a bunch of money to play a game is fine too if you have it to spare.

If you intention is to get a winning gun at the top level then go with a good bolt gun in a BR loading.  The 7mm's still win a bunch of the time but the 6.5's do have a slight edge in the game.  Any gun from the TC on up will shoot 40's in the big bore game in Unlimited, it just is a given, so the matches are won or lost in the shoot offs.  Most often this means Chickens or smaller at 200 meters.  The winners usually need from 8 to 10 out of 10 of these small targets to win the bigger matches.

If you had a 7BR xp100 you should already know what shoots better.  Why did you get rid of the xp?
