I bought my son a T-3 7-08 s/s.  Same results as you with core-lokt factory ammo.  I'm not a great shot, but I can cover my 4 shot group with a quarter.

It does not surprise me one bit.  Tikka rifles are one of the best shooters out there, especially for the price.  Isnt it nice to get a rifle that you dont have to do a thing to ,out of the box, that is such a great shooter?

LONG, You are so correct! All the Bolts that I purchased before is:

Should I order a new trigger or perhaps new springs, polish the action, clean the bore a thousand times, re-bed the barrel, purchase mounts and rings, oh, verify the magazine feed and of couse, don't rust the clip!

I'm NEVER going BACK!

Thanks! :D

My Tikka 7mm-08 is a great shooting rifle. It has done well with factory ammo, sub 1". But when I started to reload for it, that was another story. I finally came up with a good load for the Hornady 139 grain SST. Took several powders and even more playing with bullet seating depth. It will shot 1/2" moa if I have a good day. If I don't do my part it will shoot 1" easily. I am shooting a Burris 3x9x40 mm Ballistic plex scope, which I consider a minimum at 100 yards to shoot real good groups.

For those interested the load data is:

Winchester LR Primer, 139g SST, 41.5 Grians Varget, COL 2.795

I am kinda of proud of this group
