My day at the indoor range..........
« on: October 04, 2004, 01:52:17 PM »
Been awhile since I fired handguns only...been mostly rifles all year. Took my new Bulgarian Makarov...my new CZ50...my Ruger P95DC...one of my CZ52's...and my Walther PP.

Out of all of them, I shot best with the MAKAROV! WOW! Awesome gun for the money....think I found my CCW gun!

Had a problem with the CZ52...slide release does not want to let the slide go forward and the S&B ammo was blowing the primers out into the chamber jamming the gun.

The CZ50 was the least accurate but it has really crappy sights.

The Walther shoots good but flips back and bites the web of my hand.

The Ruger is great as always!
All shots were 25 ft and still would have put a person down with chest shots...gonna spend this winter honing my handgun skills again...pics below...

NRAJOE - hmmmm, interesting day at the range.  I am dang sorry to hear about the S&B 7.62x25s, never had that problem happen with my Tok.  Hmmmm.

I can feel your 'Walther' pain in the web of your hand.  I like the snot out of those pistols but the web bite was always a bit much.  How so ever, S&W has fixed that problem with a bit of a re-design that extends that part of the pistol just enough so it is much more comfortable to shoot.  I think I would sell mine and get a new one - only problem is that it will probably take you a thousand rounds to break it in and get it smooth - but, that's a good enoughreason to go back to the range, eh??  LOL.  Mikey.

You got that group at 25 feet with a Makarov?

I'm sorry. This is unacceptable. It's all over the paper, man. At 25 feet, they should all be touching inside the little square. 25 YARDS maybe...sure....THAT I could understand. But this?! I'm afraid that you are going to have to march back down to that range and do some more shooting mister. Don't come back until you bring in a grouping that shows the true potential of this firearm.

I'm still trying to understand this. Maybe you are suffering from the flu or something? Perhaps a wee bit intoxicated while at the range, eh?

All kidding, and fun aside...the Makarovs are nice firearms, aren't they? Easiest gun I've ever had to field strip and clean. Love that fixed pin barrel. I've seen 8 shots fired from 70 yards away that all hit on a 8 1/2x11 piece of paper. Pretty good for a 3.5 inch barrel.
