The only thing I have heard on the rumor mill is they are supposed to be made by Savage for Mossberg.  Not sure.
God, Family, and guns, in that order!

I went ahead and put a 30/06 in lawaway,Gun is made in Northhaven Conn.So it seems its made by Mossberg being that is where they are located,Its not a Savage made product ,for sure, but the action looks like a lower budget ,Ruger.
Seems to wgt. around 7 and a tad Lb.s the clerk told me that" they have sold a sh-- load of'em and ain't had not one da-- complaint) he's a gun guy.The gun has not been out but just around a month or so.I'll know more when I get it out and try it out.

Hey guys,I read on another forum that the Mossberg 100 are the same as the Charter Bolt guns, they where bought out by Mossberg ,those Charters where great guns. The barrels are made by ER Shaw.

The Charter Bolt gun wgt. was 6.6 lbs., I'd say thats the wgt. of the Mossberg.  I too felt the gun shouldered everywell.

I looked at some pictures of the Charter bolt action and they look virtually identical to the Mossberg I saw in the store.  I might actully get one of these in .270.
