Buffalo Classic is here!
« on: September 23, 2004, 03:17:04 PM »
Finally got to pick up my  Buffalo Classic today. A few of the accessaries were missing,no manual, some of the H&R security lock and all the inserts for the front sight. I have called the dealer and got a number for  to call the factory. Looks like it says it was made in Texas on it. I thought they were made in Ma. It even came in a padded but plastic case. It looks great and can't wait to try it out.
I saw some mention of cleaning and breaking them in with J&D or J&P (?), not sure what that was about. Could someone give me a quick description of this or send me in the right direction to find out more about this. Thanks for all your input from my other questions!

Dutch, look it over closely. My Buff didn't look like most H&R products, no junk in the action, no rough bits in the barrel, same thing for both Buffs and a target model my friend has. I cleaned it good, and put two boxes of jacketed factory ammo through it, cleaned it again and switched to lead bullets. It's mirror shiny and no problems with leading.  Congratulations and enjoy yourself!
