Does anyone have a bench report on the new CDL's ?

I have taken an interest in it but so far I haven't seen any at the range.

I may still buy one but I'd rather take one the standard calibers instead of the short mags that all the makers are pushing lately, and I'd like to see some first hand reports first.

The 24 and 26 inch bbl really interest me.

I have a CDL in .270 and it is one accurate son of a gun. I'm not a Remington fan, but this one has all the features I like. It's stock is slimmer than the BDL, the barrel is fatter than the Mountain rifle, etc. all the things I like in one rifle. I don't like the safety that doesn't lock the bolt, but that's all I can say bad about it. I bedded it even before I shot it, and it shoots tiny little clover leafs.

I think if I get one it will either be a .30-06, a 7mm-08 or a .35 Rem.  This is a difficult decision for me because I really like the 30-06 and the 35 Rem, but I've really been thinking about buying a 7mm-08.  I have to be careful what I buy because I'm running out of room.  It's when Remington came out with the CDL that things became a little difficult for me because I won't buy more than one of them.

The Button rifling concerns me though.  They took a nice concept, then they made it a Marlin.  Go figure.

how's that new recoil pad?

I just bought a CDL in .270, though I haven't put glass on it and shot it yet.  I'll report back when I do.
