MAC11700 Which Stock Set?
« on: September 16, 2004, 04:22:13 PM »
Mac11700.  I remember that you replaced the Survivor Stock Set on a 308 Heavy Barrel.  Which stock set did you use that fit the Survivor 308?  Hope it wasn't a custom set.  I remember that it looked great.

I have the Survivor 308 HB (SB2-608) coming.  I wanted the 308 heavy barrel, but I don't like the survivor stock set.  Mike.

GrampaMike:

Thannks for the compliment...I got mine direct from NEF...it was the cinnamon laminated set...and I added the steel forearm spacer and steel trigger gaurd...I did have to open the barrel channel a little bit(not very much sanding) and same for the barrel stud to fit with the new steel forearm spacer and used a flat 1/16" rubber spacer cut to fit the barrel lug. When you order it...make sure you tell them you want the stock bolt and washers for it...the Survivor's bolt isn't long enough...

Mac.  Just off the phone with NEF.  Ordered the Cinnamon Laminated set with stock bolt and washers.  NEF customer service said that it would be 5-10 working days, that is about the same for the rifle.

Thanks for the Info, Mike.
