Finally got a Makarov...(Bulgarian)

HA, HA... Joe, now you'll find your Makarov inventory growing just like the '52. It's not as fun, but I think you are going to find it's accuracy will really suprise you. I had to adjust the sights on mine, but once I got them where I needed them, I can hit the 9, 10, and "X" all day with little effort. I do caution you on one thing, if it's cold outside I really suggest the use of gloves. The recoil is a bit different, it's pretty much straight back and more of a "thwap". If it's cold you'll hurt after a box or two.

See, I'm not so off beat in my opinions:)

BTW we load some very nice defense loads for the Mak.
For range fodder the 95g Baurnal and the 115g Silver Bear are great.

Being a hand loader, you can cut down 9x19 cases and they work, but it's more of a pain than it's worth. If you are going to load them yourself just buy the Starline brass.
