Where is the best place to buy a Remington 700 ADL action. I can only find barreled actions.--------Thanks-----vernonp

I know Brownell's is selling them, but they ain't cheap. Try Auction Arms; when I frequented the site, I would see a few pop up.

in order to find a Remington 700 action at a reasonable cost I ended up getting a well used (beat up) rifle from a pawn shop. The smith then did all the work to make it perfect (well close). I chose the barrel with his input and the stock that I wanted to make it fit me. Trigger, safety, scope and rings all with his input and my budget in mind.

I first would check any pawn shops and "trader type local mags", might run into someone hard up for money. The second place I would look is your local Walmart, the stores around here will run sales near hunting season and you can pick up an ADL with Syn. stock for around 350-370. Unscrew the barrel and sell it on E-Bay for around $75 in unfired condition and sell the stock for around $50 on E-Bay also. There you have it, a brand new ADL action(ready for the smith to tru-up) for $225 to $250. That'll beat Brownell's anyday. Just my 2 cents. Good Luck and Good Shooting!
