Congrats on the 8 squirrels, I however, don't go till we have a frost to kill all the skeeters.

Squirrel season started here on the 28th, and I've successfully fed every skeeter for miles. I got some good reds and had to toss a gray that had bite infections from some kind of fight.

I'm using a Mossberg 500E 410 with high brass 6 or 7.5 depending on where I'm going.

It's a lot easier to teach my 11 yr old with a shotgun. Still hunting works wonders for getting control over youthful "noise generation". I've gotten him close to deer while scouting this year; that's a first for him. He's starting later than I would have liked, but he's not been "self aware" enough until this year.

South Knox County between Ijams and Forks of the River. I'm closer to FOTR than the ranger station.  I have to go out of the way to get a deer tagged.

I work in Alcoa.

Absolutely! If you want to come up this way and have a TWRA sticker, we can do FOTR, (shotgun only). Other than that, we could meet at another TWRA that's halfway. Send me a PM or email if you like.
