Does a 20 inch barrel hurt a bolt gun all that much ?

I enjoy collecting guns, swaping and staying up on all the newest models. I deer, quail, squirrel and rabbit hunt.

As long as all the powder burns before the bullet exits the barrel, No. Not that much.
Higher Velocity Cartridges are affected the most...
What caliber are you thinking about a 20" barrel for?
Stay Safe. Happy Hunting/Shooting.
