Well yesterday I got off work early, and drove up to my uncles spread where we did some shooting in the upper pasture.
We have a steel deer target hanging in across to trees from a long metal bar. I was very happy that all shots fired from the 22" barrel 45-70 made center of mass in the kill zone at 100 yards.
Whats even more fun is when you convince someone that H&R makes dang good SS rifles. My uncle now loves the Buffalo Classic that I brought up for him to shoot. He could not believe the differance in recoil of the Rem 700, .270 he has compared to the 45-70.
I left last night leaving the Buffalo Classic with him, and a bunch of ammo to shoot. He is hedging at taking a bear with it next month when the season opens for Fall Bear.
