Condor O/U fore end
« on: August 19, 2004, 02:25:35 AM »
I just bought the standard Condor O/U in 28" for waterfowl.  Got a good deal, $299 at our local Dick's.  Anyways, I have been preparing for the upcoming goose season by shooting some trap and noticed that after a few shots the fore end is becoming loose.  It has even fallen off once during a round of trap!  Yesterday I noticed that after a few shots the release lever seems to be opening up, if I squeeze the fore end to the barrel it tightens back up for the next few shots, but then I have to squeeze it tight again a few minutes later.  I have taken it all apart and cleaned it very well.  Everything seems to be fine including the release spring and latch on the barrel that the forearm attachs to.  I am thinking that the frequest open during trap may be causing this loosening of the fore end.  I am shooting the gun well but this is not acceptable, any one have any input on how to correct this :?
