Where do you get them? and what kind of bits do you all use to drill stainless ?--Willy

For drilling hardened stainless, I use carbide spade drills. I get them usually from Sheffield Kifemaker's Supply, but Texas Knife Makers and the other Knife making supply companies list them also; as does Brownell's. The only size I've used is 1/8" which run me around $11.00 a piece. They should be run at least around 4500 RPM (I run mine at 7500) with LOTS of cutting oil.

I recently found Victor machine tools, there prices are a lot better than most of the suppliers and that's where I've been getting taps and cutting bits. There carbide spade bits are sized from 1/16-1/2" and the price for a 1/8" spade bit is 6.90$

I've only ordered a couple of times but have been well satisified with there service so far.
