I use that and H4895 and aboth work great for my boys marlin. Both powders hit tight and to the same point of aim.

Lee,

You may have read this in the "whats a good bullet for the 30-30" thread, but I'll write it again.

I use the Winchester 150g Silvertip over 33g Varget for a velocity of around 2,250 fps out of the 20" barrel of my M94 Carbine. Accuracy is around 1" @ 50 yds. I took a doe with it last season!

Where does one find silvertips anymore? I've even contacted Winchester and was told they don't sell the silvertips anymore except for factory loaded stuff...???  :cry: If you have a secret source pass it along. :twisted:

i use it for my 30/30 contender.  i get good accuracy and burns clean.
