Been four years for the camp since we had an adult tag. Gonna be a fine hunt this year!

The camp isn't far from Minden Ontario. We load up in an old 1500wt 4WD army truck with chains, and a pto winch (stripped to open cab and chassis, and high boxadded) and six hours of swamp crawling and rock climbing later, we're there. Lotsa water this year, getting in could be fun.

Awesome! You must post some photos of your hunt. Good luck!

JYC:

I've been cottaging at Devils Lake (SW of Minden off the Deep Bay Road) since 1952.  I've occasionally seen moose sign in the area, and know that some of the hunt camps have taken them in the past, but I understand they're fairly rare in that area.

From your past posts, I understand you must have a good population in your area from the number of animals you see when you don't have the proper tags.  I'm not asking for the specific location, but I'm wondering where you're hunting (a general direction would suffice).

North west of Minden, between Minden and Hwy 118. See one or two moose at least, every year. :D
