Considering the cost, there sure are a lot of Blaser rifles for sale. I see them out on the sites like gunsamerica.com and gunbroker.com  Am I to conclude that these are the Hummer SUVs of the rifle world in that buyer's remorse soon follows purchase?

Questor,

About 6-7 years ago the wife and I looked over s few R93's and came to this conclusion, They Are Butt Ugly and we wouldn't have one in the house.  We decided that we didn't want a rifle that you had to put a bag over your head to be seen in public with it.  Also the recall has scared away a number of people.  Lawdog

Then it's odd that I don't like them more than I do. After all, I'm butt ugly and scare people away too.

To me, the cost is a factor.  For that kind of money, you can custom built your dream gun.

Questor,

I would say that the issue with the Blaser R93 is more a matter of people having legitimate safety concerns with the design of the rifle. Due to its design, the strength of the bolt and receiver is at the very least questionable, especially when shooting magnum cartridges.

Check out an older post with the title "Blaser R93".
